Wholesome Harvest CSA Worker Share

We offer a worker share option for those who want to get directly involved with producing their food. The worker share works by bartering time worked on the farm for your share of produce rather than a monetary value. You schedule your shift four weeks at a time, show up on your work day, work your shift, and take home your share for that week.

Worker members are involved with all aspects of the growing process. You will definetley get a better understanding of what localized agriculture is all about. Worker members help in seeding, transplanting, weeding, harvesting, and packing.

As a worker member you will need to be able to handle some moderate lifting as well as kneeling and bending. You also will have to prepare yourself for working in all kinds of conditions from heat, rain, mud, dust, wind and the ocasional early snowfall. Worker shares provide a great deal of the labor that our farm needs to run smoothly.
